First a reminder:  Our special 4-week class starts this Thursday, July 17, at 6:30 pm at the Allegro Dance Studio.  The class is for Level 2 dancers and will focus on techniques in close embrace. Class will be from 6:30 – 7:45 pm, followed by practica from 7:45 – 8:30 pm.  This practica is free. The class series is $26/single & $42/couple for Friends of TangoHelena,  $30/single & $50/couple for others.  Drop-in classes are $7 for Friends, $8 for others.

Our July Rathskellar Milonga is THIS VERY SATURDAY, JULY 19th, from 8:00 to 8:30 pm.  As usual, there will be a free lesson for complete beginners from 8:00 to 8:30 pm.  Please invite your friends and family-- this is a great way to introduce them to tango!  Patrick Marsolek will DJ.  Drinks are available at the no-host bar.  Cover is $6 for Friends of TangoHelena, $7 for others.  Dress up if you feel like it, bring your dancing shoes, and come join us!

July Schedule Changes:

Please note that there will be NO outdoor milonga in front of the carousel on Saturday, July 26 as originally planned, but we WILL have an outdoor milonga there on Saturday, August 9. This is free, informal, and scheduled from 8:00 to 10:00 pm.  Dress up or not as you choose, but for sure bring slippery shoes, as we will be dancing on concrete.

Also, there will be NO practica this Sunday, July 20 (too many people out of town), but we WILL have practica on Sunday, July 27, 4:00 to 6:00 pm as usual.

August Schedule Changes:

WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY SUNDAY PRACTICAS IN AUGUST, but instead we will have practicas on Thursday evenings.  The first Thursday, August 7, will be a free practica from 7:45 to 8:30 pm (after the 6:30 class).  The remaining Thursday practicas (Aug. 14, 21, 31) will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for a charge of $5 for Friends of TangoHelena, $6 for others.

Finally, please note that the last Rathskeller milonga of the summer will be SATURDAY, AUGUST 16th, from 8:30 to 11:00 pm as usual.
